Pulse Diagnosis

Pulse-taking involves a practitioner placing their fingers on a patient's wrist to feel the radial artery. By analyzing the depth, speed, strength, and rhythm of the pulse, TCM physicians can detect subtle imbalances in the flow of Qi and blood throughout the internal organs.

Inspection diagnosis complements this by observing the patient's spirit, complexion, demeanor, and tongue. These external manifestations serve as vital indicators of the body's internal state. TCM recognizes that any disorder in the zang-fu organs will inevitably be reflected on the body's surface, particularly in the face and tongue coating.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a core component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Practitioners formulate customized herbal formulas based on each person’s body constitution. Herbs work to support the balance of qi, blood, yin and yang within the body, helping maintain overall wellness. Formulas may come in raw herbs, granules, decocted liquid, pastes and topical preparations.

Bloodletting Therapy

Bloodletting therapy is a traditional external treatment in TCM. By gently releasing a small amount of stagnant blood from specific acupoints and affected areas, it helps disperse static blood, unblock meridians, relieve local stagnation, and reduce inflammation. This therapy effectively alleviates stiff pain, swelling, heat congestion, and chronic tension, restoring smooth circulation of qi and blood in the body.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion has a history of over two thousand years of application in China.
Moxibustion refers to applying close‑range thermal fumigation using mugwort.

Mugwort leaf is a plant of the Artemisia genus, also commonly known as Ai.

Medicinal mugwort essential oil contains acetate ester, 1,8‑cineole, camphene hydrate, camphor, borneol, and thujone. Pharmacological research shows its volatile oil can inhibit various molds, cocci and bacilli, and also exerts anti‑asthmatic and antitussive effects. The whole herb is used medicinally. It warms meridians, dispels dampness, expels cold, stops bleeding, reduces inflammation, relieves asthma and cough, and offers anti‑allergic properties.

When mugwort burns, it releases numerous chemical substances that may penetrate human tissues and lymph nodes. Some of these compounds have anticoagulant properties, helping improve blood circulation and support the clearance of chronic inflammation.

The heat and aromatic compounds from moxibustion particularly assist lymphatic circulation by aiding waste removal — including white blood cells, viruses, and fibrin‑embedded bacteria — therefore helping lower chronic inflammatory states.

Chronic inflammation describes a persistently over‑active inflammatory response over an extended period, in which the immune system remains continuously activated. Elevated peripheral white blood cells and chemical messenger cytokines may contribute to fatigue, poor memory, pain, heart‑related concerns, stroke, autoimmune conditions and obesity.

A healthy lymphatic system is associated with higher energy levels, improved memory, reduced discomfort and greater longevity.

Moxibustion may support wellness for heart‑related concerns, cancer‑related discomforts, arthritis, intestinal conditions such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, back pain, muscle stiffness, headaches, tendinitis, anxiety, menstrual cramps, obesity, irregular menstruation, and fertility‑related imbalances
